Check for the Presence of Fungus before You Add Lawn Fungicide

Every year, in most states around the country, lawns lie dormant waiting for spring to come and provide them with the necessary warmth and moisture to grow lush and green again. The problem, however, that also comes in the spring is lawn fungus. There are those people, however, that mistake brown spots in an otherwise green lawn for fungus. Before you apply your lawn fungicide, you should determine that the fungus actually exists. In order to know for sure, you are going to have to mark the area to see if the brown spots grow. If they do, you have fungus, if they don’t, then you need to add a bit more nutrients to the soil so that grass will come in again.
